The basic mechanism

Most Western numerology systems convert dates or letters into numbers, then repeatedly reduce totals to a single digit, while often preserving 11, 22 and 33. The resulting number is matched to a traditional interpretation.

Calculation is objective; interpretation is not

Two numerologists can agree on the arithmetic and still emphasize different themes. That distinction is important: reproducible addition does not make the interpretation scientifically predictive.

A practical use

Turn an interpretation into questions: Does this description fit? Where does it not fit? What examples support or contradict it? That keeps the exercise reflective rather than deterministic.
